The core concept is a practical homeschool dashboard: curriculum progress, Charlotte Mason and living-books book lists, and a reading progress sheet that can work like a small database for a family.
The interesting part is not just the homeschool niche. It is the pattern: take a real family workflow, turn it into a focused demo, and use that demo to test whether the workflow has enough value to become a product.
For homeschool families, that means less generic “school management software” and more of a calm command center for:
- Lesson progress by child
- Book lists organized around living books
- Reading status and narration notes
- Weekly rhythm
- Portfolio-style records of what was learned
That is the kind of small, practical software idea that is worth prototyping quickly.
